Willow Jam has been bringing old soul and classic rock to Melbourne since 2011. With roots in jazz and blues, Willow Jam moves effortlessly between smooth, delicate ballads all the way to high-energy tracks to bring everyone to the dance floor.
If you want some smooth Jazz music for a lunch. Or some Soul/Pop music for a party - We can do it all! Willow Jam has a great deal of experience playing for a variety of demographics and enjoys providing music for weddings, engagements, parties and all other functions.
Our main group is six of us, but we also offer smaller groups such as a Duo, Quartet or Quintet depending on space and function! Hit us up for a quote!
A bit of History....
After meeting for an impromptu gig in early 2011, Drew, George and Jeremy found they worked really well together and loved every second of it.
When Jeremy left later that year to pursue an overseas music contract, Drew decided to form a standing band with George and two other musical colleagues: Stuart, on Keyboard; and Will, on Double Bass.
They quickly rekindled the spirit they found earlier in the year and moved into 2012 under the name Willow Jam Jazz Band.
Fast forward to 2017, at the time Carena was singing and playing keyboards, and Tim Lukey had joined on guitar. The band then shifted direction and started adding more Soul,Pop and Rock and Roll in the mix. It wasn’t long after that we changed our name to Willow Jam.
